Yesterday, I went to KLCC (Hall 4-6) for JobsCentral
& Malaysia’s 100 Career Fair. This career fair start from 22-23 February
2014, from 11am to 6pm. Many well-known organizations were there. From academic
institutions until financial intermediaries, each of them has their own booth
to promote their own companies.
At this career fair, participants have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with various Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employers. We were free to ask any question related to job hiring at their companies. Participants have a chance to fill in the form provided and submit their CV on the spot. There were interview session and games too. Participants can have a chance to win variety of prizes.
I also asked about internship opportunity to many organizations but most of them were not looking for internship candidates. They focused more on fresh graduates or graduating students. Almost all organizations demand for employees who got 3.0 and above in their CGPA.
This career fair opens my eyes about job market in Malaysia. Most of the companies demand for qualities and skills. They were looking for employees that have higher qualification with many useful skills. They were looking for somebody that have potential and bring benefit to their organizations.
